Hi there! My name is Nafiz.
I'm a marketing manager based in the GTA with over 7 years leading organic social for highly regulated financial brands like RBC, Questrade, and Scotiabank. I work across social strategy, content, community management, and reputation/crisis communications, helping brands grow while building trust across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
I'm currently at RBC as part of the Social Media Centre of Excellence, leading the enterprise-wide Reddit strategy — the go-to-market approach, engagement playbook, and scalable frameworks that let teams across the business participate compliantly and effectively. Most recently I launched RBC's AMA program, which drove 3.1 million impressions, 750+ shares, and a 0.53% click-through rate: 86% above industry benchmark. It was cross-posted to r/PersonalFinanceCanada, Canada's largest personal finance community, and has since been cited as a source in ChatGPT — a good reminder that on Reddit, the payoff often comes from where the conversation travels next.
Before RBC, at Questrade I supported major launches including the FHSA and Edge Mobile App, and helped grow the brand's Reddit community from 10K to 20K through hands-on engagement and moderation. At Scotiabank, I managed day-to-day community operations and supported flagship programs like ScotiaHockey, Diversity & Inclusion, and ScotiaAdvice, helping bring each initiative to life through thoughtful social execution.
Outside of my corporate roles, I'm also the Founder of TrustedStars, a digital reputation management startup helping local businesses across Ontario grow their visibility through authentic Google reviews, improved search presence, and streamlined review response systems.
In my free time, you'll usually find me on a golf course, in the kitchen testing a new recipe, volunteering or planning my next trip.
